Our method — how we establish and date what we publish
This game has not been released. Almost everything written about it online is either a quotation of the four or five official announcements, or someone guessing. This page explains how we tell those apart, and how you can check.

Three levels, and every claim carries one
Confirmed means a source of authority established it — the publisher, the developer, or the licence holder — and we cite that source with its date.
Reported means an established press outlet reported it and the publisher has not confirmed it. We name the outlet and the date, and we say plainly that the publisher has not confirmed it.
Unconfirmed means it is expected, assumed, or inferred — from the tabletop game, or from an earlier Total War. We say so, and we say what the publisher has actually announced on the point, which is usually nothing.
The floor: what we will not publish at all
Leaks, unauthorised extractions and anonymous rumours are excluded without exception. So is speculation about the release date. So is any inference from the tabletop presented as information about the video game: a Baneblade has eleven guns on the table, and that tells you nothing about what the game will do with it.
And no gameplay advice, of any kind, until the game has been played. A counter, a ranking or a priority order written today would be fiction with a confident tone.
Dates, and why every page carries one
Each page shows the date its information was checked. It is the single most useful thing on the page: a guide dated three weeks ago is immediately distinguishable from a guide with no date at all.
The day the game is released, every page still marked unconfirmed becomes a page to rewrite. That list is not maintained by hand — it is computed from the confirmation level stored with each entry. That is the whole reason the level lives in the data and not only in the prose.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, it should be corrected rather than defended. The contact page says how to reach us, and a correction that arrives with a source will be applied and dated.
